At Full Court Basketball Coaching Academy, the foundation of our organization is development.  We provide all our athletes an opportunity to grow, progress, and play at their highest skill level in the positive, supportive culture we create.  A good basketball coach has command of sports tactics; a great coach also has vision and motivation, and inculcates them in the team. Positive energy in practice, training and competition is reflected in our games.

What does that mean for players and families?

  • We strive to establish a constructive environment in practice, training and competition.  Encouragement, support, togetherness, and family are all aspects of our teams.

  • It is the job of coaches to model the behavior they want to see in their players.  We expect to see positive energy, intensity, and commitment in our athletes; that all starts with the coach.

  • A truly successful coach helps every player achieve his or her potential.  We believe in building our own players and developing team chemistry, rather than recruiting in “better” players.

  • Our players are kids – talented, hard-working kids – and they will make mistakes. Instead of breaking down players because of a mistake, yelling or taking them out of the game, we believe in turning that disappointment into positive energy.  That allows athletes to play at a higher level.

  • FCBA practices and training sessions are high-energy and intense, with coaches and trainers who strive to push our athletes beyond their comfort zones to achieve even higher levels of play.  We work hard, but we have fun, too.  When practice sessions become monotonous, players lose interest and focus.

  • To be a great team, you need a great system, and the discipline to stick to it.  Teams with no system struggle to play together. Teams follow their system succeed even against the strongest competition.

  • There are three key sets of relationships that make a team work:  players’ relationship with their coach, players’ relationships with each other, and families’ support for the team.  When all three click well, it’s almost unbeatable.

We at Full Court Basketball Academy believe in training players and developing their skill sets to be better players and people.  Ask our players about FCBA, and they will tell you:  they work hard, they have fun, they learn a lot about basketball, and about themselves – and along the way, they win a lot of games.  If that is the sports experience you want for your child, we invite you to join us.
